ANTIBIOTICS

Are drugs that are used to treat infections that are caused by bacteria(also known as Bacterial Infections). They do this by either killing the bacteria or by terminating any form of reproduction.

ANTIVIRALS
ANTIVIRALS

Are drugs that act against viruses and not against bacteria. These act by inhibiting the multiplication of viruses, which means that it halts the population from growing larger and eliminates the ones that are already there. It’s development has lagged behind than that of antibiotics since viruses are only genetic material, killing them is way more difficult.

ANTI-INFLAMMATORY

Are drugs used to treat or reduce inflammation (which is when a particular part of the body reddens, swells up and often pains:- usually as a response to an injury or infection). They do this by decreasing the inflammation and hence remedying the pain.

ANTHISTAMINES

Are drugs that fight against the histamine released during an allergic reaction by blocking the action of the histamine on the tissue. Antihistamines do not stop the allergic reaction but protect tissues from some of its effects.
